The sky will fall again for lesser reasons

and they’ll keep extracting in our name

but as always,

the vines and trees

they will grow again

the buildings will be built

the starved children and the orphaned babies will turn into adults

and they’ll carry the same hate

the reason will be lost again

they’ll be called terrorist and aliens

and peace is delayed another generation.
